PALMER CONFIRMS SELBY TOWN MATCH AS FAMILY FUN DAY
(August 30, 2010)To celebrate officially the launch of Farsley AFC, Chairman John Palmer announced this morning (30th Aug) that the game scheduled for Saturday 11th September against Selby Town will be a Family Fun Day.
"We are keen to encourage families to watch us here, and so to mark officially the new club we shall have a number of things going on during the day, whilst at the same time AFC will take on Selby Town.
We are arranging for a bouncy castle and an inflatable obstacle course, there will be some competitions for the kids to enter and the bbq will be on the go with a family ticket including food " explained Palmer.
"We are hoping to attract families to the event so that they can watch the game as well as keep the kids entertained".
And with the event planned to continue into the evening with a disco in the function room, Palmer hopes that the local community will support the launch in numbers. " We are keen to make it plain that all are welcome at Throstle Nest" added Palmer.
Tickets for the event will be priced at £15 for a family, with complimentary food included in the price.
Usual matchday fees will apply to the game for supporters wishing just to watch the game.
