ARMTHORPE 2 - AFC 2
(September 04, 2010)Farsley dropped their first away points of the season, after a dogged Armthorpe display earned the home side a 2-2.
Armthorpe took the lead midway through the first half after Tom Taylor failed to collect, but shortly after the break Gareth Grant equalised in similar sashion after a mistake from the Armthorpe keeper.
Mark Jackson's header from a free kick 10 minutes later looked to have set Farsley up for another three points, but Armthorpe equalised following a swift counterattcking move. Both teams had chances to win the game. Gareth Grant had a goal disallowed following a questionable offside decision and Armthorpe also felt aggrieved moments before the end after claiming that a failed clearance had crossed the line.
Farsley remain second in the NCELP although Bridlington have edged further ahead at the top of the league after a 4-2 victory at home against local rivals Pickering.
Farsley have the chance of topping the league by the weekend if the overcome Hall Road Rangers on Wednesday, ko 7.45pm
