Adam re-joined Farsley in October 2013 following a spell at Skrill North side Guiseley. The striker originally joined us at the start of the 2012/13 season and finished the season as top scorer with 27 goals.
This understandably generated interest from clubs higher up the pyramid and he spent unsuccessful trial periods with both FC Halifax Town and Hyde before finally settling for a move to Guiseley under Steve Kittrick. When Kittrick left Nethermoor after a poor start to the season, Priestley fell out of new boss Mark Bower’s plans and decided to return to Throstle Nest.
Before his first spell at Farsley, Priestley flourished with Steve Nichol’s Garforth Town after taking the step up from amateur football with West Yorkshire League side Sherburn White Rose. He settled well at Garforth and scored 19 goals in 2010/11 and 23 in 2011/12, before joining Farsley that summer.
Adam has also earned five international caps with the newly-UEFA accepted Gibraltar side. He qualifies for the nation after being born there whilst his father was serving there in the RAF. He's looking forward to playing the likes of Germany, Republic of Ireland and Scotland who are all in Gibraltar's UEFA 2016 qualifying campaign over the next year.
